Superior has a heavier industrial mix than Duluth: the refinery and its contractors, the rail yards, the grain and ore terminals, bulk fuel and propane distributors, and the trucking companies that run Highway 2 and 53 into Wisconsin. Our Superior routes run from Tower Avenue to the Winter Street yards and out along the highways, and we are set up for the site rules a refinery or a terminal brings.
Fuel, propane and bulk fleets
Superior has more tanker fleets per square mile than anywhere else we wash. Polished barrels need the chemistry chosen for them, rims and cab tanks need brightening on a cycle, and the tractors need the undercarriage done through the winter. How we wash tanker fleets.
Site requirements we work with
- Insurance certificates on file with the terminal or refinery
- No washing at racks or near product; yard only, truck off
- Wash water contained with reclaim mats where the site requires
- Gate codes, escort rules and badge access recorded on the yard sheet
Wisconsin winters on the South Shore
Superior gets the lake-effect snow Duluth's hill blocks, and Douglas County salts Highway 2 and 53 hard. Fleets that run those highways daily go weekly from November to April, with undercarriage.
Do you serve Douglas County beyond Superior?
Yes: Superior, South Range, Poplar, Lake Nebagamon and along Highway 2 toward Ashland and Highway 53 toward Solon Springs.
